EastEnders spoilers: Bex Fowler makes life-changing confession to Martin Fowler

Bex (played by Jasmine Armfield) has been revising for her exams under a great amount of stress as she tries to get into Oxford University.

Her parents Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) and Martin (James Bye) want their daughter to go to one of the best, but the EastEnders character has other ideas.

Next week on the BBC soap, Bex will confess to her dad that she actually doesn’t want to go to university at all.

But he doesn’t seem to get the message as she discovers that Martin has taken on shifts at the chip shop alongside his market stall to help towards her fees.

On top of that he’s also making plans to go to her Oxford Exchange Day.

Martin and ex Sonia decide to help Bex look her best for the important occasion and convince Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) to give her a dress from his clothes stall.

The pair are blind to just how much Bex doesn’t want it to go ahead.

At the university Bex continues to struggle as the pressure is put on her both by her teacher and Sonia.

As a result, Bex sneaks out of the event and meets a girl called Ellie.

The situation worsens for the teenager when she’s disappointed by the results of a practice test she’s done.

Martin ends up giving her money for a night out and Bex heads out for a night on the town.

However, she gets into an argument with Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) again and turns to the booze at the E20 club.

A worried Kush turns up to check on her, but will she tell him what’s up?

Bex’s life may be taking a troubling turn, especially considering it’s the anniversary of Shakil Kazemi’s (Shaheen Jafargholi) death coming up in May.

Pictures taken from the set last month saw Bex at his graveside holding a bunch of flowers alongside Kush.

But it looked as those the atmosphere soured between them as Bex could be seen storming off in an emotional state.

It comes after Bex made a move on Kush last month when she kissed him in the club.

While he gently turned her down, it looked as though she hadn’t quite gotten over it.

Viewers saw Bex tell Louise she was involved with an older man but that it was complicated, so could viewers see them spark up a romance?

EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
