EastEnders’ Linda and Phil break their sobriety after finding unopened booze in the cupboard – The Sun

EASTENDERS' Linda and Phil will break their sobriety after they find unopened booze in a cupboard in tonight's episode.

Last week the landlady was left horrified when she bumped into the business man at a new help group to assist with her drinking problem.

Linda pleaded for him to attend a different one as she didn't feel comfortable sharing her story in front of him.

Phil offered Linda's husband Mick an ultimatum – he will attend a different meeting if the Carters sell him the Queen Vic.

The bar woman was left horrified by the suggestion and resulted in Phil sharing some home truths about her alcohol problem.

In tonight's episode, it seems that the pair put all their hard work down the drain when Linda finds an unopened bottle of whiskey in Phil's cupboard.

Viewers can also expect Phil to reveal the real reason he wants to buy the Vic – and it's to win Sharon back.

But Linda has her doubts that buying the Vic isn't enough to fix their relationship.

Fans of the popular BBC One soap have already claimed that they think the pair will create a new bond over their alcoholism.

Writing on a soap forum, one fan shared: "Forget Sharongate and Sheanu, it's all about #Philinda – wait til that affair kicks off."

Another responded: "I actually thought they were going to kiss last night with that camera shot of them looking at each other in the kitchen almost in darkness!"

A third added: "I called an affair between these two a few weeks ago, it would be an explosive one that's for sure!!!"

However, Linda and Mick decided to sell the Vic so that they could focus on Linda's recovery and healing their romance.

Check out if Linda and Phil really break their sobriety during tonight's episode on BBC One at 8.00pm.
