EastEnders blunder as Louise’s baby isn’t born with umbilical cord and already has a belly button – The Sun
LOUISE Mitchell gave birth in an explosive episode of EastEnders last night, but eagle-eyed fans noticed something very different about the teenager's delivery.
Avid Albert Square lovers noticed that the baby was born without its umbilical cord in Friday's episode and were quick to joke about it on social media.
18-year-old Louise, the daughter of the soap's hard man Phil Mitchell, went into an early labour which prompted boyfriend Keanu Taylor to get her to the hospital as soon as possible.
Thankfully the character who is played by Till Keeper, had a safe delivery and in honour of her late Grandmother Peggy Mitchell, the baby was named after her.
However, when the newborn appeared on screen, the umbilical cord was nowhere to be seen and the baby had a 'healed' belly button.
Fans on Twitter were quick to pick up on the mistake with one fan saying: "Funny. Hows baby Peggy was born with a healed belly button, no surplus umbilical chord! #EastEnders."
Another said: "Why the hell did Louise's baby not have an umbilical cord. Some magic womb or what."
And a third added: "#Eastenders baby born with perfect belly button!!"
Before the birth, Phil had been trying to get hold of his wife Sharon, so she could be at the hospital to support her step-daughter.
But Sharon was busy telling Lisa Fowler, who had just checked herself into rehab, that Keanu is the father of her child, in an attempt to stop Lisa from telling Phil about her big secret.
Keanu, now faces the prospect of the shame and despair of it coming to light while trying to raise Peggy with Louise's child.
Both Tilly Keeper and Danny Walters, have announced that they are both leaving EastEnders.
Tilly has played Louise for four years whilst Danny has starred as Keanu for two years.
Speaking about her decision to leave Albert Square, Tilly said: 'I have loved playing Louise Mitchell over these past few years, and I feel honoured to have been part of such an iconic show.
'Working with our incredible cast and crew has been a joy and I shall miss my EastEnders family greatly'.
The 22-year-old will appear in her final scenes in the new year.
