Does Kris Jenner Regret Older Episodes of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’?

The world has watched Kris Jenner and her family on their TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, for over a decade now. And throughout that time, fans have seen every member of the family grow, as well as go through their fair share of ups and downs. There have been several births, a few marriages, and a whole lot of bickering.

Recently the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch said there are a few things that embarrass her when she watches the first few seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. So, what is it about the show’s early years that make this mother of six cringe every time she sees it?

How long has ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ been on the air?

The show first premiered on the E! network back in 2007. Back then, Kylie Jenner, who is now a billionaire, was only ten years old and now-model Kendall Jenner was just 11 years old.

Now that the show is in its 17th season, a lot has changed since the show first came on the air. For starters, Bruce Jenner now goes by Caitlyn Jenner and is no longer married to Kris Jenner. Another thing that has changed is that all of the Kardashian-Jenner children (except for Kendall) now have kids of their own.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, one night Kris Jenner had invited the casting director of Dancing with the Stars, Deena Katz, over for dinner. After only a few minutes of watching how the family interacted with one another, Katz had suggested that Jenner should call Ryan Seacrest and see about getting their own reality TV show.

“Kris told me what she envisioned, and I said “Let’s send a crew to your house and tape some stuff and then we’ll take a look at it,’” Seacrest had recalled. “Then I realized I didn’t have a crew; I didn’t even have a camera. I had Eliot buy a camera, and he went and shot them. He called me after and said, ‘I think we have something special.’”

Seacrest, who is now the producer of the show, had then taken the tape to E! to see what they thought. The network had passed on the idea at first. However, once a few more executives were able to take a look at it, they were eager to start production immediately.

Why does Kris Jenner get embarrassed when she watches old episodes of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’?

Jenner recently went on the Late Late Show with James Corden to talk about the new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Corden asked her if she ever gets embarrassed when she sees herself in some of the older episodes. She responded by saying: “Only by the outfits, I think, and the hair. Stuff like that. Sometimes, it can get a little cringeworthy.”

She may have not liked the way that she looked back then but she still says that even with the “cringe worthy” outfits, she still would not change a thing.

“I think that everything we look back on is such a great lesson and taught us so much,” she said. “And we’re here because of the journey we’ve been on, so I’m just grateful.”

We actually don’t think that Jenner looked bad at all back then. But we do agree that she has come a long way since the show first came on the air. And so have all of the other members of the family. Everyone has grown and matured in the last 17 seasons. And no matter what Jenner’s hair and clothes look like, we know that she will still be one of the most loving and entertaining “momagers” that the world has ever seen.
