Disney's Toy Story 4 clip: Annie Potts' Bo Peep leads rescue mission

Little Bo Peep isn’t looking so little anymore. She’s large and taking charge in the new clip from Toy Story 4 that Disney’s Pixar dropped on Friday’s episode of Good Morning America.

It’s time for “Operation Pull Toy.” Bo Peep, voiced by Annie Potts, leads the rescue mission for a stray toy that is stuck outside in the rain. We see her dole out orders alongside Woody (Tom Hanks) in a maneuver that involves Jessie (Joan Cusack), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Slinky (Blake Clark), a squadron of acrobatic Barbies, and Bo’s three sidekicks, Billy, Goat, and Gruff.

In case it wasn’t clear from Bo Peep’s character poster, which channels a sci-fi heroine a la Rey from Star Wars, “Bo’s got some ‘tude now,” Potts teased while appearing on the morning program. It’s due to her new life on the road. She’s not the same porcelain doll on Andy’s desk.

The actress, 66, also teased that Bo Peep finally makes a decision regarding that love triangle with Woody and Buzz. “I think she’s made a choice now,” Potts said. “I can only reveal so much.”

The Pixar team continues taking its time to reveal the goods on their latest project.

Toy Story 4 turns into a road trip adventure when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy to the room named Forky (Tony Hale). A teaser also revealed a carnival and subsequent carnival toys named Ducky (Keegan-Michael Key) and Bunny (Jordan Peele). Keanu Reeves, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, the late Don Rickles, and Estelle Harris also rank among the voice cast.

Josh Cooley (the “Riley’s First Date?” short) directs Toy Story 4, which is produced by Jonas Rivera and Mark Nielsen. The film will open in theaters this June 21.
