David Beckham takes cheeky look at cheerleaders as he sits courtside at LA Lakers game

The 43-year-old retired footballer enjoyed the basketball game at LA's Staples Centre yesterday, with the local team taking on the New Orleans Pelicans.

But at one point, David seemed more interested in the famous cheerleaders than the game itself, stealing a glimpse at one performer's toned bodies as she sprinted past him in tiny, purple lycra hotpants and a matching top.

The British star has been married to fashion designer Victoria Beckham, 44, since 1999, with the celebrity power couple sharing four children together.

David attended the match with his best friend Dave Gardner, who is engaged to actress Liv Tyler.

The close friends looked as though they enjoyed their time at the game, being pictured laughing and sharing jokes before the Lakers won the match with 125 to 119.

David has just returned from a relaxing ski trip in French resort Saint Gervais, with he and Victoria whisking 19-year-old Brooklyn, 16-year-old Romeo, 14-year-old Cruz, and seven-year-old Harper away for half term break.

The doting parents shared a selection of photos of their children enjoying the snowy mountains – which came shortly after the family were out in force to support their mum at London Fashion Week earlier this month.

Victoria recently hit back at speculation surrounding her and David's marriage – insisting that she is "used to" rumours about the relationship.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the brunette beauty said at the time: "People have been making things up about our relationship for 20 years, so David and I are pretty used to ignoring the nonsense and just carrying on as normal."

She added: "We both realise that we are stronger together than we are as individuals.

"Would either of us be in the position that we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago? It's all about the family unit."
