Dani Dyer reveals pet dog Sandy wee-d all over 'grandad' Danny Dyer's bed – but he still loves the pup

The Love Island winner referred to the EastEnders hard man as Sandy's "grandad" – and admitted that he still adores the pup despite the mishap.

Sharing a sweet snap of Danny, 41, kissing the pooch on the nose to Sandy's personal Instagram account, the 22-year-old reality star wrote: "After I weed all over my grandad's bed he still loves me.."

The pic appears to have been taken backstage at the father-and-daughter's Nativity show, with Danny's microphone clearly in shot.

Fans admitted that the story and sweet snap warmed their hearts, with one commenting: "Awww a real softie isn’t he, big grandad Dan."

Another added: "Love this, bless you Sandy – you have a lovely grandad."

A third quipped: "Awww I think my heart has just melted."

Dani and Jack bought the bulldog together in October, jokingly calling her "their first baby" when they took her home to their London flat.

And it is unsurprising that Danny has taken to her, as Dani previously admitted that her mum, Joanne Mas, banned the actor from buying a family pet – despite his protests.

She told MailOnline at the time: "I haven't really had many dogs in my life. My dad was brought up with dogs around him and always wanted to have a dog.

"But, my mum never did, and she was like: 'Don't get a dog', so I've always had that in my brain.

"Whereas Jack's always had a dog, and kept saying: 'It'll make me so happy Dan.'

"And you know when they put on the puppy eyes, and then he was like: 'Can you come with me to look at a dog?'"

Speaking about the decision behind the pup's name, the reality star continued: "I've called the dog Sandy, because I'm Dani – from Grease – so I can sing the songs to her."
