Dancing On Ice's Wes Nelson says girlfriend Megan Barton Hanson 'trusts him 100%' despite sexy dances with skating partner

The former Love Island constant, 20, says Megan trusts him '100%' and isn't jealous of his dance partner Vanessa Bauer.

He said: "She just said that she trusts me 100%. I mean it’s on television for god’s sake!

"I’m not going to do anything and I trust her 100%.

"We’ve got something special and I don’t want to ruin it and I’m sure the person I’m dancing with will respect that as well."

Wes also insisted he's not nervous about the criticism he'll face from the Dancing On Ice judges.

He said: "I’m actually really good with criticism.

"I actually prefer criticism to praise because of how competitive I am.

"If someone can give me constructive criticism and say 'listen you’ve done this wrong, do this right', that to me is ten times more valuable then saying 'you did alright'.

"If it’s constructive then that’s going to benefit me, they’re not saying it to be nasty, they’re saying it to help you so criticism-wise I’m good."

The former nuclear systems design engineer doesn't think Dancing On Ice is the biggest challenge he's had to face.

He said: "Maybe my previous job as a nuclear systems design engineer, that was challenging.

"There were a lot of candidates that wanted to do the grad-scheme that I did.

"Basically, they paid for my university, they paid for everything.

"It was a really good wage for a 19/20-year-old and there was worldwide interest in it.

"That was probably the hardest challenge because there was a lot of tests and a lot of revision, a lot of familiarisation.
"Also, Love Island and being away from my family for ten weeks in total and no contact whatsoever, the ups and down and not having anyone to confide in family-wise, that was pretty hard."
