Cory Booker Gushes Over Rosario Dawson on 'Ellen': She 'Makes Me a Better Person'

“I’m really really blessed to be with somebody who makes me a better person,” Booker said of Dawson. “She’s just an incredible human being.”

Senator Cory Booker is opening up about his relationship with actress Rosario Dawson.

While appearing on "The Ellen Show" Wednesday, the 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful, 49, gushed about the "Rent" star, 39, and how she’s changed his life.

"She’s a deeply soulful person and has taught me a lot of lessons about love already," Booker said. "Sometimes you show the greatest strength when you make yourself vulnerable. She really has this nurturing spirit that has made me more courageous, not just in the love that I project and want to see in our country, but I think even in our personal relationships — to love more fearlessly."

"I’m really really blessed to be with somebody who makes me a better person," he added. "She’s just an incredible human being."

Ellen pointed out that if Booker were to become president, he and Dawson could possibly have a White House wedding. "You go in single and then you have a wedding in the White House. I mean, we would watch," she said. "That would be like our Royal Wedding. That would be great."

"So you’re saying if Rosario and I get there, wait don’t do the marriage before?… January 2021?" Booker said and Ellen replied, "For sure, wait and have a big thing!"

The U.S. Senator from New Jersey jokingly asked Ellen if a wedding on Capitol Hill were to take place if Ellen would preside over the wedding. "Yes, I’d be a big part of that," Ellen replied. Booker and the daytime host confirmed their "promise" with a handshake.

After months of romance rumors, Dawson confirmed their relationship to TMZ last week when walking through Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. When asked if she thinks Booker would be a good president, Dawson said, "I think so yeah. He’s an amazing human being."

The actress admitted she and Booker were official and said the relationship was going well. "So far so wonderful," she said. "He’s a wonderful human being. It’s good to spend some time together when we can…I am just grateful to be with someone that I respect and love and admire so much who is so brilliant, and kind, and caring, and loving."
