Corrie's Jane Danson and Ryan Sidebottom eliminated from Dancing on Ice
They were joined in the skate off by former Pussycat Doll star Melody Thornton after but the judges opted to save the singer and send her through to next week's show.
Saara Aalto kicked off the latest episode of Dancing On Ice by performing a daring spin called the "bladebanger".
The move, which saw Aalto's skating partner Hamish Gaman swinging her around by her feet, helped the pair earn 30 out of 40.
Wes Nelson was lost for words as he earned 38 out of a possible 40 for his routine.
All four judges awarded the Love island star 9.5 out of 10 for his skate with partner Vanessa Bauer, which panellist Jason Gardiner said was "sublime to watch".
Ryan Sidebottom and his skating partner Brandee Malto earned a score of 24, after a performance the judges agreed showed improvement.
Gardiner said the cricketer was "a bit of a turkey" at the start of the competition, but that his latest routine was "elegant".
Melody Thornton earned 31 out of 40 after she and her partner Alexander Demetriou missed one of the lifts in their routine.
"You have to try things don't you?" she said, as the panel delivered their verdict.
After Jane Danson performed, host Holly Willoughby asked whether she had channelled her Coronation Street character Leanne Battersby.
But Danson joked: "Oh no, she never smiles!" The actress only managed a score of 25.5, and admitted she had battled the nerves.
Former Strictly star James Jordan racked up 36 out of 40 after admitting he "bottled" one of the moves, and praised Nelson for reaching new heights.
"Hats off to Wes because he smashed it," he said.
The judges were impressed with Jordan's skate despite his slip up, with Jayne Torvill saying it was "absolutely brilliant" and Ashley Banjo thanking him for bringing dance to the rink.
Brian McFadden burst into a little dance as he was awarded 28.5 for what Torvill said was his "best performance so far".
"It was so much fun," said the star ahead of the elimination announcement.
