Corrie’s Faye star admits she nicked items from set including very gross prop

Coronation Street’s Ellie Leach has revealed which items she stole from the ITV wardrobe following her character’s dramatic exit from the ITV soap.

The 22-year-old soap star has become a firm favourite on the Cobbles ever since she joined the show as a moody youngster Faye Windass back in 2010 when she was just nine years old.

Across 12 years on the soap, the brunette beauty tackled several challenging storylines such as teenage pregnancy, being a victim and perpetrator of bullying and being diagnosed with premature menopause.

But Faye will be waving goodbye to the cobbled streets of Weatherfield next week, with the actress confessing it’s “really crazy” to think she will no longer be a part of the ITV cast.

Now, in an exclusive interview with Daily Star and other publications, the brunette beauty has admitted that she raided her character’s wardrobe before she waved goodbye to the iconic Manchester set for good.

She confessed: “I actually took quite a few of her clothes which, to be fair, I've always said she’s not really got very good style, Faye.

“But she’s got the odd little piece, like she’s got a cute little jacket or a pair of jeans or a pair of trainers.”

When she was asked what her favourite wardrobe must-have she stole from the ITV closet, Ellie said: “I did take a pair of Faye’s pyjamas actually which I've not had off since.

“They’re just normal pyjamas but they’re really, really comfy and they just remind me of Faye. I love them.”

The actress went on to reveal that she also kept one incriminating prop which would make fans stomach's turn.

Ellie added: “I think it’s always nice to have a little bit of her with me and I also did keep – because I have a little memory box at home – I've got a sparkly green fingernail from when she dropped her stick-on nail down Ted’s sink.

“So I've kept a stick-on nail which is sparkly green and that’ll remind me that I ran over an old man.”
