CORONATION Street's Bernie Winter will try to murder sick paedo Kel after discovering proof he abused her son Paul.
The shady mother of two – who is played by Jane Hazlegrove in the ITV soap – will first refuse to believe her son when he emotionally tells her Kel groomed him as a young teenager.
But The Sun Online can now reveal how finding evidence that Kel has lied to her sees Bernie realise the horrifying truth – and she takes action to get revenge.
A source said: "All hell will break loose when Bernie finds out the truth that Kel did abuse Paul.
"With Paul's words ringing in her ears she starts to search for anything that will put her mind at rest and discovers a box of pictures that Kel he took of Paul.
"Bernie realises immediately Paul was telling the truth and she flies into a fury.
"She goes into a violent rage and tries and kill Kel by beating him up with a stool for what he has done to her son and family.
"They're going to be explosive scenes that show what Jane can do with such big stories."
Actor Joe Alessi recently confirmed he would be leaving the soap after Kel's abuse comes to the light.
He told Lorraine: "It is finite and I’ll never be a regular on Coronation Street.
"My role will come to an end… there’s going to be a lot of fallout."
A Coronation Street spokeswoman declined to comment.
