Coronation Street spoilers: Kevin Webster betrays beloved character in horrifying twist?

Kevin (played by Michael Le Vell) has a history of turbulent relationships on Coronation Street, what with his marriage to Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) coming to an end after an affair with Tyrone’s (Alan Halsall) late wife Molly Dobbs (Vicky Binns). This infidelity also led to the break down of his friendship with the mechanic, but the pair have fought through their disputes and are now the proud co-owners of Webster’s Autocentre car garage. However, old rivalries could resurface in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap as his future on the cobbles is put into question when Ray (Mark Frost) drops a bombshell. Can the Weatherfield stalwart really betray his closest ally to avoid prison?

Ray has gone head-to-head with Kevin in recent scenes after the garage owner gave his now girlfriend Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) a false alibi after she blew up the sleazy character’s beloved motor car.

The police have questioned the mechanic on several occasions, reminding him if he is lying, he could end up serving time behind bars.

However, the stalwart was determined to stick to his story and look to the future with his new lover only for Ray to tell the pair new evidence had emerged which could derail their version of events.

Upcoming scenes will see the bistro owner issue his rival an ultimatum to ensure he doesn’t end up in jail, but it could mean betraying Tyrone.
