Coronation Street spoilers: Daniel Osbourne in shock car crash – will baby Bertie be okay?
Coronation Street fans were left in floods of tears after emotional scenes showed Sinead (played by Katie McGlynn) pass away and her devastated husband, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), was left taking care of their son Bertie. However, the widowed father will continue to struggle after being hit by a car.
Daniel has become a broken man after he lost his wife to cervical cancer last week.
In earlier episodes this week, the waiter left the cobbles to grieve with baby Bertie after he faced a huge backlash from Sinead’s aunt Beth Tinker (Lisa George) over the kiss he shared with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).
Hours before his wife passed away, Daniel and Bethany were caught kissing by Ken Barlow (William Roach) and eventually everyone found out and understandably, didn’t take it so well.
The devastated father’s downward spiral will continue as he struggles to cope in upcoming episodes.

An unknown source told The Sun: “Daniel’s not going to be able to catch a break over the next few months.
“He will increasingly struggle to cope with living without Sinead and raising his son Bertie.
“His stress levels will rocket and he won’t be paying attention and will end up being hit by a car.
“It really shakes him up realising how close to death he could have been with it potentially leaving Bertie as an orphan as a baby.”
Actor Rob added to the publication, his character will be “caught up in the death”.
“He now has to unpick all of that, the meaning and the message of what she said and actually apply it,” he said.
“But with the trauma and shock, you get away from that as quickly as possible.
“There will be changes in Daniel, but may take a bit of time to implement it.”
Elsewhere in Weatherfield, the walls are closing in on love cheat, Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) who has been juggling a double life.
In upcoming episodes, Robert will be involved in a car accident after being distracted by a call from fiancee Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) telling him about Ray Crosby (Mark Frost).
She will later visit the hospital but will his heavily pregnant wife, Vicky Jefferies (Kerri Quinn) turn up?
