Coronation Street confirms 13 potential factory collapse victims as they are left fighting for their lives

The death has been promised to be "heartbreaking" by soap boss Iain Macleod and now the show has confirmed the 13 characters who are on the chopping block for the axe.
Sally Metcalfe
Sally Metcalfe will plunged through Underworld's roof during a furious row with her sister Gina.
The pair fight it out but it's Sally who ends up covered in rubble and unconscious in the wreckage with Gina nowhere to be seen.
But does this mean she is the fan favourite who will die?
Gina Seddon
Gina's gone through a tough time of late.
She has reconnected with her long-time estranged sister Sally just in time to turn on her during her fraud trial and ensure she was sent to prison.
Now she's managed to prove her loyalty to Sally by getting the evidence to have her released, Sally turned on her, and it would be tragic if Gina were to die before Sally forgives her.
Even more tragic still if she died to save Sally.
Gemma Winter
Gemma loves a good scrap, especially one that has nothing to do with her.
That's how she ends up in the factory during the protest, and how she becomes one of the characters who might die in the chaos.
Emma Brooker
Emma hasn't had much to do since her ill-fated brief flirtation with Chesney Brown.
That all came to nothing so she's been left washing hair at Audrey's hoping for a storyline.
Unfortunately the one that came about is one that could kill her after she invites herself to the factory protest and it all collapses in on her.
Tim Metcalfe
Tim wades in after realising his wife Sally was on the roof when the factory collapses.
If Sally were to survive and Tim die saving her, that would be a devastating loss, and that's what viewers were promised.
Tyrone Dobbs
Tyrone rushes in to save people when the factory collapses.
It's old hat to him with his girlfriend Molly dying nine years ago when the tram crashed into the cobbles.
But could history be repeating itself and is he going to meet his maker?
Sean Tully
As one of the factory's most long-running staff members, homeless spell excepted, Sean has been with the business for years.
So it was only natural he would take part in the protest to keep it open.
However he gets a lump on concrete on him as payback, and while pictures show him alive inside, the second collapse could be the one that gets him.
Paul Foreman
It would be cruel to kill a character so soon after he'd settled in on the cobbles, but the Soap Gods are nothing if not cruel.
He might have a burgeoning love with Billy Mayhew, and he may have only just reconnected with his twin sister Gemma, but that matters not.
Instead he's bloody and covered in dust in the factory and could be about to be dead.
Izzy Armstrong
Izzy has little family left on the cobbles now and hasn't had a meaningful storyline in quite a long time.
So if the soap bosses needed to have a clearout, she would be a prime candidate to go.
Kirk Sutherland
Kirk is one of Corrie's classic characters who you can never see leave.
But then once said that about Bet Lynch and Curly Watts and look where they ended up.
It would be a heartbreaking death for viewers and the cobbles.
Abi Franklin
Abi might be a mess at the best of times but her heart is in the right place.
As soon as she hears the disaster unfold she rushes in headfirst to help whoever she can, putting her own life at risk in the process.
It would be an awful way for her to die, especially if her son Seb is responsible.
Beth Tinker
Beth is another one who could be waving goodbye to the cobbles.
She is one of the workers who break into the factory to protest the closing of the factory because of the dodgy roof in an act of remarkable idiocy.
But killing her for this choice might be a bit harsh from the Soap Gods.
Rana Nazir
The nurse disappears on her wedding day when she's about to marry the love of her life Kate Connor.
Actress Bhavna Limbachia is leaving the cobbles soon and it would be a heroes exit if she died trying to save the wounded in the accident.
And if the roof collapses further while she's trying to help then that would be her done.
