In recent weeks, Coronation Street fans have watched as Tyrone Dobbs (played by Alan Halsall) and Alina Pop’s (Ruxandra Porojnicu) relationship has slowly broken down. The couple, who started an affair behind Fiz Stape’s (Jennie McAlpine) back have been drifting apart since Tyrone’s daughter, Hope (Isabella Flanagan) started a fire at Alina’s flat. Luckily Alina wasn’t hurt in the fire, but she has been struggling to forgive Hope after she lost her baby as a result of the blaze. Despite everything that has happened, Alina has been making an effort with Hope and even asked her to be a flower girl at her and Tyrone’s wedding.

In scenes that aired during Wednesday night’s double bill, Alina appeared to be getting through to Hope.

The duo managed to spend some time together, although, Hope ended up coming clean to Alina about the blaze.

She apologised to her dad’s fiancée for starting the fire, but in the process, she let slip it wasn’t the first time she had done it.

The new information came to light after Hope refused to go to school, and so Fiz called Tyrone in the hopes he could persuade their daughter.

Tyrone ended up getting angry and shouted at his daughter for everything she had done.

After he stormed out and went for a walk, Alina took the time to speak with Hope.

When Alina confronted her future husband about Hope starting more than one fire, he thought she was talking about his kiss with Fiz.

He decided to take the opportunity to tell Alina the truth and confessed his true feelings.

“I’m so sorry,” Tyrone apologised as Alina replied: “Are you? Or are you enjoying it?”

“Don’t say that,” he pleaded. “I’m not enjoying this in the slightest. Do you think I want to see you upset?”

“I don’t know,” Alina said. “You stuck your tongue down her throat. What am I meant to do?”

Defending his actions, Tyrone continued: “It’s just we have got all that history, you know?

“We’ve had so many ups and downs lately, it just sort of happened.”

“All that history, you make it sound like you’re the Royal Family,” Alina replied sarcastically. “The National Institution.

“Well, guess what? In Romania, we got rid of them.”

When Alina went on to ask whether Tyrone wanted to get back with Fiz, he said: “It’s not that straightforward.”

Alina gave Tyrone an ultimatum as she questioned whether he ever loved her.

Meanwhile, while Fiz went on a date with newcomer Phil (Jamie Kenna), Emma (Alexandra Mardell) went to see Alina, which is when she broke the news she was pregnant.

Alina explained to her pal that Tyrone had feelings for Fiz and she wasn’t sure what to do because she was having his baby.

When Tyrone went back to the flat, he bumped into Emma who told him Alina had left.

She also let slip that Alina was pregnant after admitting she thought Tyrone knew.

The episode concluded with Tyrone confronting Alina who was in a taxi on the way to the airport.

“Alina,” Tyrone shouted. “Why didn’t you tell me you were pregnant?”

“You are nothing to do with me,” Alina hit back. “You think I am going to trap you, I’m not.”

As Tyrone pleaded with Alina to stay, she joked to the mechanic that the baby may not be his.

“This baby will have nothing to do with you,” Alina raged. “So, get that into your thick skull quickly.”

“But I’m the father,” Tyrone insisted as Alina replied: “Says who?”

She continued: “See, it’s not nice when someone hurts you.”

If Tyrone is not the father to Alina’s baby, could it be Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo)?

In previous scenes, Imran failed to go home after he lost Kelly Neelan’s (Millie Gibson) court case.

Up until now, viewers believed Imran spent the night with his ex-wife. However, with Tyrone and Alina’s relationship already on the rocks, could she and Imran have spent the night drowning their sorrows together?

Coronation Street airs on Thursday at 7.30pm on ITV.
