Cheryl makes big promise after losing 30k followers since The Greatest Dancer

Cheryl has vowed to keep dancing… despite losing 30,000 Twitter followers since appearing on The Greatest Dancer.

Since taking part as a dance captain on the show alongside Matthew Morrison and Oti Mabuse, the 35-year-old Love Made Me Do It singer has lost scores of followers on social media.

According to The Sun , Cheryl’s follower count has declined ever since joining the show and dropping by around 510 per day.

Despite the huge fall, she still has 6.1million followers left.

Cheryl will return to the stage this evening with her last remaining act, Harry and Eleiyah, for the final.

The reason as to why Cheryl has lost so many followers is not entirely clear, however counts can often fluctuate due to Twitter clearing out bot accounts.

Tonight, her acts are up against Matthew Morrison’s James and Oliver, Oti’s Ellie Ferguson and KLA in a bid to win £50,000.

The winning act will also get to perform on Strictly Come Dancing in the autumn.

Ahead of tonight, Cheryl revealed that The Greatest Dancer has inspired her to continue dancing.

"Yes, I’ve always been a lover of dance, but since becoming a mother I haven’t done it nearly as much as I’d like to, and this show has re-inspired me to want to do that," she said.

Asked whether she would like to learn something new, she said she would like to learn to flip.

Cheryl added: "I’ve learnt that I have a massive passion for dance, I’ve always loved it but it’s completely reignited the fire in my belly!"
