Captain Lee From 'Below Deck' Is Absolutely Furious With Some of the Crew

Captain Lee Rosbach from Below Deck appears to be furious with some of the crew after viewing the latest episode. Rosbach has previously shared that he is often unaware of the drama that occurs “below deck.” So seeing what went on during the season has him seeing red.

During the episode, he was stunned when he woke up in the morning to learn chief stew Kate Chastain left the boat in the middle of the night. At the time he seemed frustrated she left, but also worried when he could not reach her for several hours. When she finally returned the next day, Rosbach and Chastain talked but she never really revealed how high tensions escalated the previous evening.

When Rosbach viewed the latest episode he tweeted about how livid he was with bosun Ashton Pienaar. But he also seemed to be annoyed with the other male crew members too.

Rosbach was stunned with Pienaar’s behavior

The episode began with Chastain leaving the boat and the day starting without her. Rosbach calls to Chastain on the radio only to receive dead air. When he learns she left the yacht he seems confused and frustrated. Rosbach talks with Pienaar who completely downplays exactly what transpired. “We are on the air and I do not like at all what I am seeing,” Rosbach tweeted at the beginning of the episode.

Rosbach was also upset with how little Pienaar shared with him about the previous night. “Disgusting,” he wrote. But he was also irritated with the fact that even Chastain didn’t tell him how bad the evening became. “Lets see, Ashton, nor do any of the crew want to tell me what happened the night before, and Kate won’t tell me what happened. I still don’t know what really transpired until I am viewing it. This is utterly disgusting that the boys, put her through that. Had I known, totally dif,” he shared.

When Pienaar apologized to Chastain, Rosbach wasn’t buying it either. “Ashton, way too little too late, and she has nothing to apologize for. You can’t really say because you can’t remember. She is the bigger person for not reminding you of what a horrible person you were.”

Pienaar’s altercation with Chastain wasn’t the only action that had Rosbach steaming. Pienaar set up deckhand Rhylee Gerber for failure during a fishing trip with the guests. When the guests didn’t catch any fish, he blamed Gerber. Rosbach called Pienaar out when he tried to throw Gerber under the bus. “And again, you just don’t get it,” Rosbach wrote, directing his tweet at Pienaar. “You are not just the driver of the boat, she is working the baits, the lines, and you are responsible for locating where you should be going, but you did no prep. Totally unprepared. Fobar.”

Rosbach was angry with other crew members too

Pienaar wasn’t the only one who upset Rosbach. Deckhand Tanner Sterback and chef Kevin Dobson were also on Rosbach’s nerves. Dobson served pizza to a guest who requested no cheese during the charter. “Ok, Kevin, you can’t even read the pref sheets, and you serve pizza with cheese and they specifically stated no cheese,” Rosbach tweeted.

He was also angry that the crew could not remember how aggressive Pienaar’s behavior was the night before too. “You three are amazing with what you do. Tanner, you don’t recall that you kissed Kate, and you think you really have a chance. Delusional is what all three of you are. GTFU, I could only hope. Brian, you should stop being a follower,” he tweeted. He also called out Sterback specifically too. “Tanner, where did you leave your spine, in the same place as your brains. The next day you can’t even remember what happend and yet that night you feel compentent to “tell the truth”. Please.”

Unfortunately, Rosbach is viewing the behavior now for the first time. Previews show Pienaar continuing to complain about Gerber. It gets to the point where he asks Rosbach to get rid of Gerber. Does Pienaar get her fired? Stay tuned when Below Deck airs on Monday at 9/8 central on Bravo.
