Buffy The Vampire Slayer cast reunite 16 years after the show ended and look totally different

This week the cast got together for a reunion at Comic Con – and they looked totally different.

Buffy the TV show, which was adapted from the 1992 film, originally ran for seven seasons over eight years, but came to an end in 2003.

The show made a household name of Sarah Michelle Gellar who took on the title role.

For those who don't know, the series was about a teenager called Buffy who's life is destined to fight vampires with the help of her High School friends and teacher (Anthony Head).

The show then also spawned a successful spin off series called Angel, starring David Boreanaz.

Now, nearly two decades on since the show ended, the cast have reunited – albeit two of the most memorable characters missing.

In the above photo, you can see Amber Benson (Tara), Julie Benz (Darla), Iyari Limon (Kennedy), Amy Acker (Fred), James Leary (Clem), James Marsters (Spike), Clare Kramer (Glory), Alexis Denisof (Wesley), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), Alyson Hannigan (Willow), and Nicholas Brendon (Xander) all together again.

2019 marks 20 years since Angel, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off, premiered and many actors from both series are currently celebrating at Wizard World Portland.

While two important figures are missing, Sarah Michelle (Buffy) and David (Angel). the cast members that are in attendance have thrilled fans.

“Witches, demons, vampires, watchers, slayer, Gods, and Scoobies oh my!,” Nicholas Brendon wrote on Instagram.

Fans lapped it up, with one writing: "LOVE THIS so much!"

While another said: "I can't wait for another reunion!"

Juliet Landau (Drusila) was also supposed to appear at the con, but had to cancel.

Meanwhile, last year Buffy fans were thrilled when they heard a the show would be returning.

While the reboot has been confirmed, with former showrunner Joss Whedon returning as executive producer, there is still no word on when the show will be airing.

There is also no confirmation on what network or platform the new show will be screening on.
