Britain's Got Talent viewers left confused by new voting system as judges only choose 1 act from each show for the final
BRITAIN'S Got Talent viewers have been left confused by its new voting system as the judges only choose one act from each show for the final.
Tonight's first semi-final was pre-recorded earlier this week, so the public are unable to vote for their top act to go straight through to the final.

Instead, the judging panel – Amanda Holden, Ashley Banjo, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams – will vote for their favourite act to go through to the final on the show.
The remaining seven acts will then go to the public vote, but it is currently unclear when the result will be revealed.
The show's official Twitter account confirmed the changes, writing in a post: "FORMAT CHANGE ALERT. There’s been some changes to #BGT Semi-Finals this year! Here’s how it’ll work…
"All acts perform as normal. Judges pick their fave to advance to the Final! Glowing star. All remaining acts will then go into the public vote."
However, viewers were still left confused by the new process, with one writing on Twitter: "When will we find out the public vote results since Ant and Dec aren’t actually there right now?"
Another confused viewer tweeted: "Well there must be a live element to tonight’s show though if they’re going to announce the winner of the public vote later?"
A third added: "So it’s saying on the screen that voting opens at the end of the show so I think we’re not going to find out the winner of the public vote tonight. We probably won’t find out who gets through until the final."
Ant and Dec tried to explain it as well, with Dec saying: "There is also a change to how the show works this year.
"After all eight acts have performed, the judges choose one of them to go straight through to the final."
Ant added: "Yes we are shaking up the format guys, so try to keep up.
"After the judges have sent their favourite act to the final, that's when it's over to you as the remaining seven acts will go into a public vote, and the winner of that vote also takes a place in the final."
