Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams shocks fans as he tells Siobhan Phillips, 42, she's going through the menopause

DAVID Walliams shocked fans as he told contestant Siobhan Phillips, 42, that she was going through the menopause during last night's Britain's Got Talent.

The comedian, 47, made the comment as Siobhan fanned herself as she struggled with the heat following her performance.

David said: "You're going through the change."

Although the audience laughed, David's fellow judge Alesha Dixon gave him a little telling off.

She said: "That's so cheeky!"

Viewers at home were equally unimpressed, taking to Twitter to make their feelings known.

One said: "As if David just asked if she’s going through the change? #bgt."

Another wrote: "'Going through the change?' #BGT."

The winner of Britain's Got Talent 2019 was 89-year-old Army veteran Colin Thackery and he'll be taking home £250,000.

He said he could "die  happy" now that he will be performing in front of The Queen.

But some fans were outraged by the result, with a few even calling Colin's win a "fix" after Jonathan Goodwin didn't even land in the top three despite burying himself alive.

X came second, while Ben Hart finished in third.

David recently joked that BGT boss Simon Cowell is desperate to help him write children's books.

In an interview last month, David revealed that even thought the music mogul comes up with terrible ideas, he still insists that they can still split the profits 50/50 between them.

He said: “I am super pleased they have done so well – it is the biggest thing I have ever done.

"Simon hates it and keeps coming up with terrible story ideas that he says I can write, and we can then split the profits 50/50.”
