Binge Watch Every Episode Ahead of the Game of Thrones Final Season April 14 Premiere

If you buy something through this post, IGN may get a share of the sale. For more, read our Terms of Use.

We are so very close to the beginning of the end of Game of Thrones. You can almost feel the excitement in the air. Who will live to sit upon the Iron Throne? More importantly, how many of your favorite characters are going to die in excruciating ways?

To start from the beginning and binge all the way to the excellent season 7 finale means you need to block out 63.5 hours of time between now and April 14. That’s an incredibly tall order. Depending on what your schedule looks like between now and Sunday, it could be possible. I’ll leave those details up to you.

From streaming to physical media, here is how you can watch (or rewatch) all the sex, violence, and dragons Game of Thrones has to offer.

Stream Game of Thrones on Hulu + HBO

You can add HBO to your Hulu package if you already have one for $14.99. If you don’t have Hulu yet, the good news is the base Hulu subscription rate is now permanently $5.99 per month. Start by selecting your package, either the $11.99 no-ads option or the base, then create an account and add HBO to your package. You can then watch HBO on any device with Hulu support. That means you can binge watch Game of Thrones in bed on your Nintendo Switch. What an age!

Stream Game of Thrones on Amazon Prime

If you already have Amazon Prime, you can add an HBO subscription for $14.99 a month, which is the same price as an HBO Now subscription (and the same price as adding it to your Hulu plan). The big advantage Prime has over the standalone subscription is the interface is much better. If you’re binge watching, you can save a lot of time by easily skipping the long Game of Thrones intro. The Prime subscription itself is $12.99, but if you’re a new subscriber you get 30 days for free.

Stream Game of Thrones on HBO Now/HBO Go

The traditional way to go, an HBO Now subscription is stand-alone and doesn’t require any extra services to work. You can run the app on most internet-connected devices, letting you stream every single episode available now, and the new episodes as soon as they start airing. HBO Go is basically the same as Now, but you use it through your cable company. If you sign up for HBO as part of your normal cable package, you also get HBO Go.

Buy Game of Thrones Seasons Digitally

If you don’t want to subscribe to a streaming service and prefer to own the digital versions of Game of Thrones, you can purchase them basically anywhere. The obvious downside to this is you can’t watch the new episodes as they air. You need to dodge spoilers until they show up on your preferred service. The upside is you can return to them again and again without having to maintain a subscription.

Google, iTunes, Amazon, and more retailers have the completed seasons up for sale in their storefronts. Depending on what service you buy from, you might even be able to download the episodes for those times when you aren’t online, like long flights, or following dangerous hurricanes.

However, buying individual seasons is the costliest way to watch every episode. For the price of a single season, you could get two or more months worth of streaming, so keep that in mind.

Physical media remains one of the absolute best ways to enjoy anything. Yes, you lose out on the convenience of pulling up your content from a menu, but you gain something cool to put on your shelf. As a huge shelf fan, I am definitely in favor of having more things to put up there.
