Better Call Saul season 5 location: Where is Better Call Saul filmed? Where’s it set?

AMC series Better Call Saul season five will be kicking off this evening (Sunday, February 23) on America. Netflix UK will be dropping the season premiere the following day for those outside the US. Here’s a look at the show and some of its filming locations.

Where is Better Call Saul season 5 set?

Better Call Saul season five will continue from the last series with Breaking Bad fans finally getting to see the transformation of the lawyer Jimmy McGill (played by Bob Odenkirk) into the titular Saul Goodman.

Season four saw Saul getting back into the courtroom but this year will see him making the big decision to start practising law under his Breaking Bad pseudonym Saul Goodman.

However, the decision to become Saul is going to have huge consequences on Jimmy and change his life forever as the show moves closer to Breaking Bad.

Speaking to Den of Geek about the new series, star Odenkirk teased: “I’ve actually played Saul a lot, on and off, over the last few years.

“Which is to say I’ve played the character where he is in full Saul mode. It really is just a piece of who the character is.

“I’ve played it many times in Better Call Saul. There’s no change up from my point of view.

“I perceive it as a facade of this guy and something he can switch on and switch off at will. It’s his game face.

“He just hasn’t always necessarily used to the name Saul Goodman when he was doing a task. He’s just being the scammier side of his personality.”

AMC has already confirmed Better Call Saul will be coming to an end next year with season six.

The fifth outing will see the return of cast members Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, Michael Mando as Nacho Varga, Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring, Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin and Tony Dalton as Lalo.

Fans can expect all the usual settings in and around Albuquerque, New Mexico.

But the most notable one which could be appearing this year is Saul’s new firm Saul Goodman & Associates which is in a strip mall.

Reflecting on the end of Better Call Saul, Odenkirk said: “We’ve talked about it even two or three years ago.

“When I talk to Peter (Gould) and Vince (Gilligan) we do these conversations maybe once a year about the overall flow of the show and I toss them my two cents.

“I’m really speaking as a fan, not as a person telling them what to do. It’s their show, creatively, and I’m an actor in it. But they do wonder what I think.

“I said my point of view was that it probably shouldn’t last longer than Breaking Bad. As it turns out, we might last one episode longer.
