Ben Affleck spotted on coffee date with musician Katie Cherry hours before 'sobriety slip up'

BEN Affleck was spotted enjoying a coffee date with musician Katie Cherry in Los Angeles on Saturday just hours before his "sobriety slip up".

The actor, 47, enjoyed a cold brew in Starbucks with the musician, 33, after arriving by motorcycle.

Affleck wore his blue and yellow motorbike jacket with black jeans a simple black T-shirt.

Meanwhile Katie donned a relaxed blue jean and camo jacket combo.

The pair grabbed coffee just hours before heading to a Halloween party together, where Ben was reportedly drunk.

Us Weekly identified the woman as Katie Cherry and was told by an insider that they met on exclusive dating app Raya.

They have allegedly been "dating for a few months", according to the insider, and they are "very into each other".

Ben split with TV producer Lindsay Shookus in April this year.

This scene is a far cry from after the party later that day, as Katie took a visibly worse for wear Ben from the UNICEF Maquerade Ball in West Hollywood into a cab.

The A-Lister appeared to have trouble walking and stumbled against a vehicle as he moved from the Saturday night party.

He wore a white skeleton mask and a black suit, while Katie wore a black dress with a green mask.

The following day Affleck was approached by photographers as he entered ex-wife Jennifer Garner's home, where he addressed the reports on his broken sobriety.

"You know, it happens. Just slipped," he told them. "But I'm not going to let it derail me."

Ben attended rehab in August 2018 after an intervention from Jennifer Garner.

She drove him to the facility in Malibu, Florida.

After the treatment in October, he wrote in a post: "This week I completed a forty-day stay at a treatment center for alcohol addiction and remain in outpatient care.

"Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle."
