Axed Love Island star issues warning to Casey and says he’ll ‘regret’ choice

Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo has warned Casey O'Gorman he will “regret” choosing Claudia Fogarty over her in the Love Island villa.

Cynthia was axed from the ITV2 show after failing to find love at Casa Amor.

The dental receptionist had grown close to Casey during the week but he opted to remain with Claudia during the recoupling process.

After he told host Maya Jama he was remaining with Claudia, Cynthia admitted that she had “gotten hurt” and overheard Casey tell his partner that his interactions with Cynthia weren't “deep”.

Now outside the villa, Cynthia says she doubts there is “something special” between Casey and Claudia.

On not being picked, she said: “We’d spent the whole day together. Even if I’d got a little inkling, like if he was a bit off with me that morning, then I’d have been like ‘OK, he’s probably not going to pick me’.

“But I didn’t get that at all. I didn’t get that vibe. If anything it kind of reassured me a bit more that I was probably going to get picked from certain things he was saying. I can only go based on what he’s told me at face value.

“I think he’s going to regret it. If you say that you have something special with someone like Claudia, you wouldn’t have been doing everything you were doing with me.”

Asked whether Casey and Claudia are a good match, Cynthia added: “Not really. Not that they were a terrible match. I just don’t think they were the perfect match.”

Cynthia continued that she would not be interested in rekindling her romance with Casey if he eventually leaves the villa single.

“On a friends basis, yeah, sure,” she added. “I’m not really interested in being second best to be quite honest with you.

“He even apologised to me, while Claudia was sitting right next to him, across from the fire pit.

“I do think he’s made a mistake. I don’t mind being friends but anything romantic, no.”
