Avengers' Chris Evans puts hand up for role in Kevin Feige's Star Wars film
Marvel and Captain America star Chris Evans has revealed that he would be down for an appearance in Kevin Feige’s new Star Wars film.
Our crossover hearts can’t take it.
Chris, who starred as Captain America for 10 years across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has now stepped down following the events of Avengers: Endgame but took to Twitter to admit he would be ready to appear in another franchise for Kevin.
‘Which MCU actor would you like to see pop up in a #StarWars movie?’ asked film website Collider on Twitter, to which Chris simply replied: ‘Me.’
Cue the fan girls and fan boys losing their goddamn minds.
Marvel boss Feige is hoping to breathe new life into the everlasting Star Wars franchise as it was revealed he is working on a brand new movie for Disney.
The forthcoming Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker, starring Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, is expected to wrap up the current trilogy in December.
But it’s not the end of Star Wars as a franchise as Kevin, 46, is working on developing a new chapter for the universe alongside Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn.
Confirming the exciting news, Alan told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘We are excited about the projects Kathy and the Lucasfilm team are working on, not only in terms of Star Wars but also Indiana Jones and reaching into other parts of the company including Children of Blood and Bone with Emma Watts and Fox.
‘With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together.’
The publication went on to claim that Kevin has already approached a ‘major actor’ to let them know he already has a specific role for them in his Star Wars movie, according to a ‘knowledgeable source’.
…. Chris?
