Avengers 4 Endgame tickets ‘release VERY soon’ as cinemas give latest update

It was reported over the weekend that pre-sales for the upcoming Marvel blockbuster will hit the market on Tuesday, April 2. This was in line with multiple other ‘leaks’ and rumours that had been popping up over recent weeks – but Marvel still have not confirmed the date themselves. It’s also unclear if this date applies to the UK and other territories as well as the US.

As things stand, UK cinemas are still insisting they have no details on screenings.

Cineworld replied to a fan on Twitter this afternoon: “No news on any screenings yet… we’ll announce as soon as we can.”

Vue similarly tweeted: “We don’t have any further information, but keep your eyes peeled on our social channels and website for news!”

It was Comicbook.com last night who reported that the April 2nd rumour is “accurate” but we’ll have to wait and see exactly how it applies internationally.

Currently the box office prospects for Avengers: Endgame are almighty.

Forbes estimated over the weekend that the fact it’ll launch in China on the same week as other major territories could make for a sky-high debut.

The site claimed it could “flirt with well over $850m for a worldwide debut”.

Avengers: Infinity War, for contrast, made $258 million domestically in its first three days, plus $382 million overseas for a total of $640 million.

However that did NOT include China, which launched the movie two weeks later to the tune of $199 million.

Given that the hype around Avengers: Endgame could even be higher than that for Avengers: Infinity War, it seems certain that we’re dealing with a record-breaking movie event.

The plot remains very much a mystery: a new theory earlier today explained why it could actually be unlikely that Captain America sacrifices himself for the dead heroes.

Avengers: Endgame is out on April 25.
