Ashton Kutcher worries fans by tweeting out his real phone number and asking for a 'real connection'
The former Punk'd host, who is friends with Princess Beatrice, shared his phone number on Twitter yesterday and told fans: "I miss having a real connection w/ real people. My Community."
Ashton, 40, wrote to his 18 million followers: "From now on you can just text me. I won’t be able to respond to everyone but at least we can be real w/ each other & I can share the unedited latest & greatest in my world."
He added his phone number and a GIF which said: "You are the fabric of who we are, and we love you!"
The star, who found fame by playing pranks on celebrities in 2003, deleted the tweet but told fans on Tuesday night that he had been flooded with messages.
He said: "I will repost soon… sms is a fragile beast"
Those messaged received an automatic reply that told them to wait for further contact from the star.
Understandably, he was bombarded with messages from intrigued fans.
One person replied to Ashton: "Stay strong. What you do matters for so many"
While another said: "Are we getting punk’d? … if so I’m so stoked"
However, others were more interested in whether his Netflix show The Ranch will get another season as one said: "When are new episodes of Ranch coming out?"
Last year the No Strings Attached star, who is married to Mila Kunis, accidentally ran a teen over – but all he wanted in return was a selfie.
The actor rushed to check if Leo Marenghi was unharmed after hitting him with his car, but the 19-year-old was just delighted he'd met the celeb.
