Asan N’Jie’s Emmerdale character Ellis will exit soap in six weeks' time and wasn’t cut from last night’s episode after Jamie Lomas row
EMMERDALE's Ellis Chapman wasn't cut from last night's episode despite Asan N’Jie being sacked for threatening to kill Jamie Lomas.
The Woolpack football team had a match and Ellis was missing from goal, sparking rumours he'd been edited from scenes.
And one viewer person begged to know on Twitter: "Wow, how did Emmerdale erase every scene with Ellis in it already?”
But it turns out Ellis will be seen on screen tonight and Asan's final scenes will air in six weeks.
A source told Sun Online: "Ellis will be appearing onscreen for about six weeks from now, and hasn't been cut."
According to the Mirror, Ellis told Hollyoaks star Jamie at the TV Choice Awards: "I’m going to f***ing knife you."
The young actor's career is now in tatters as a spokesperson for the show confirmed he had been given the boot.
Asan issued a grovelling apology following his outburst on Monday night, saying in a statement: "My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.
"I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards.
"I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this."
The Sun previously revealed that the two men fell out over money, with one of Asan's pals in a financial dispute with Jamie – his former agent.
Since joining Emmerdale, the unidentified actor has befriended Asan, who has learnt of his financial disagreement with Jamie and when the two came face-to-face at the TV Choice Awards he allegedly decided to take it up with his mate's former agent.
Our source revealed: "Asan went up to Jamie and started goading him, saying things like, 'Alright, Jamie big b*****ks'."
The next minute, the pair had to be pulled apart by fellow stars.
However, Jamie was said to be happy to accept Asan's apology, with a source telling The Sun Online: "Asan actually called Jamie personally to apologise and they had a really good chat.
"Jamie's fine with him now, it's all made up and forgotten about. He doesn't hold grudges and really appreciated the call.
"Asan was genuinely sorry about what happened and sincerely regrets it."
