As Channel 5 cancels Big Brother, we look back on the reality show's top 10 most defining moments

AFTER 20 years of bonking and brawls, Big Brother is returning to our screens tomorrow night with epic E4 series Best Shows Ever.

Since 2000, housemates’ behaviour has brought no end of magical moments to our screens. Here, we run down some of the most memorable…

2006: George Galloway pretends to be a cat

One of CBB’s most cringe-worthy house tasks came when then-MP George Galloway put on a leotard and pretended to be a cat licking cream from actress Rula Lenska’s hand.

Years later she said: “The cat scene will follow me to the end of my days.”

2005: Makosi and Anthony's steamy pool scene

Makosi Musambasi and eventual winner Anthony Hutton caused a stir by getting steamy in the pool in the sixth season.

After the X-rated encounter, Makosi asked for a pregnancy test, saying she was “90 or 100 per cent sure” she was pregnant. She wasn’t.

2001: Vanessa Feltz's eviction meltdown

Broadcaster Vanessa Feltz had a meltdown in the first series of CBB after hearing she was up for eviction.

She started scribbling on the kitchen table in chalk while wearing shades, and wept in the diary room.

She blamed the “humiliation of everyone hating me”.

2007: Jade Goody's racism controversy

Jade Goody’s racist remarks to Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty caused outrage and she was evicted.

However, the two later made friends and Jade went on to appear in Big Brother in India, during which she was diagnosed with the cancer which would kill her.

2016: Tiffany Pollard thinks David Gest is dead

American reality TV cast member Tiffany Pollard had a breakdown in CBB when Angie Bowie announced that her ex-husband David had died.

But her tears were only because she thought Angie meant their fellow housemate David Gest.

2017: Lotan Carter's shock fight

Hot-headed stripper Lotan Carter was removed from the BB house after starting a full-on brawl.

Off-camera security had to step in to calm the situation when Lotan attacked other housemates after one called him a bad role model to his son.

2000: Nasty Nick's double-dealing

“Nasty” Nick Bateman was the original Big Brother villain who got caught playing housemates off against each other.

More than six million viewers saw the show’s eventual winner, Craig Phillips, confront him about his sneaky antics and Nick was kicked out of the house.

2004: Michelle and Stuart's romp under the table

Newcastle lass Michelle Bass coaxed her new squeeze Stuart Wilson under the table for a raunchy love-making session.

Though the “did they, didn’t they?” moment was a huge talking point, their relationship didn’t last, ending a year after they left the show.

2016: Chris Biggins' shock remarks

At 67, actor Christopher Biggins was one of the oldest contestants to move into the BB house.

He went on to make a series of shocking remarks about bisexual people as well as a very offensive Nazi joke that got him evicted in just his underpants.

2006: Nikki Grahame's tantrums

Volatile Nikki Grahame became famous for her angry outbursts.

After being nominated for eviction by housemate Susie Verrico she screamed: “Who is she?! Who is she?! Where did you find her?!” in the diary room.

She also had a romance with Pete Bennett, who went on to win the show.
