Ant McPartlin has NOT been sending Holly Willoughby tips on how to present I'm A Celebrity in secret WhatsApp group as his rep slams rumours
The TV star – who is in recovery following his drink-drive conviction – was rumoured to be giving daily advice in messages to her and Declan Donnelly throughout the series.
It's after an ITV weather presenter claimed the production team had consulted Ant over Dec and Holly's gags during their links.
It was later flatly denied by ITV bosses.
A source claimed to Daily Star Sunday: “The three of them have a WhatsApp group and are in constant contact.
“He texts them support, jokey banter, thoughts on camp mates etc. And Holly can ask advice if she wants or needs it from either Ant or Dec."
But Ant's rep Simon Jones told The Sun Online: "It's completely untrue. Ant is not sending tips to Holly, he’s in recovery."
This Morning host Holly has won the hearts of the nation in her role as Dec's sidekick since making her debut on the reality show.
Fans are even hoping I'm A Celebrity will allow her to return WITH Ant and Dec next year.
Ant, 43, decided to take a year off from the ITV reality show to focus on his health.
Ahead of Holly's first day in the job, Ant posted a heartfelt message of support to the pair on the Twitter account he shares with Dec.
He wrote: “@antanddec. All the very best of luck to the little fella and @hollywills for the show tonight. Lots of love from the big fella!! A #ImACeleb Xxxxxx”
Holly’s presence on the show has gone down a storm with crew members excited by the new talent.
A backstage source said: “There is a lot of excitement about Holly joining the team, she has brought something new into the show and has been lovely to all the crew members backstage – from wardrobe to catering.
Ant said he was "truly sorry" for the drink-drive crash that left a four-year-old girl injured.
He was fined £86,000 – the biggest drink-drive fine ever in the UK and handed a 20-month driving ban.
