Ant McPartlin and girlfriend Anne Marie Corbett laugh and joke as they take dog Hurley to the groomers as Ant goes back to work on Britain's Got Talent

The couple didn't stop laughing and joking as they took pet dog Hurley to the dog groomers before perusing the local stores for some goodies of their own.

Their muddy wellington boots and the large paw print on Ant's jumper suggested the pair had taken their pooch on a very muddy walk beforehand.

Though that certainly didn't dampen their spirits as the lovebirds walked along arm-in-arm.

The pair were seemingly in the mood to splash some cash as Anne-Marie was pictured holding bags from Neom Organics – a fragrance brand that claims to boost users' wellbeing.

There were also some treats for Hurley as Ant was spotted holding a new dog brush.

The TV presenter's smiley outing came just a short while after The Sun exclusively revealed he was back to work this week for the first time in months.

Ant will sit in production meetings with long-time co-host Declan Donnelly before they kick off filming the audition stages of Britain's Got Talent next month.

It will be his first TV work since a car crash in March led him to check in to rehab for substance addiction.

Ant’s career has been on hold since the crash, which led to a 20-month driving ban and a £86,000 fine.

He pulled out of BGT’s live shows, I’m A Celebrity… and scrapped the 2019 series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

He's also had to deal with a difficult divorce from ex-wife Lisa Armstrong after 11 years of marriage.

A source said: “He always planned to take the rest of 2018 off to fully recover.

“He didn’t want to commit to anything before he was absolutely ready but now he feels up to it again.

“He’s got his first production meetings this week where he will be talking about the plan for the new series in January and from then onwards he’s back into work mode.

“The break has been exactly what he needed and done him the world of good.”
