American viewers go wild for GBBO as Netflix begins streaming current series

American fans are going wild for The Great British Bake Off with the popular show now available for streaming on Netflix.

Viewers over the pond can now keep up with the current Channel 4 series and catch up with the old BBC format starring baking legend Mary Berry.

In a new move, Netflix has begun posting each new episode on a weekly basis, just three days after it debuts in the UK.

And judging by the reaction on social media, it seems viewers stateside are just as hooked as fans in Blighty.

"NEW BAKE OFF ON NETFLIX BITCHES why did no one inform me oh my GOD!," cried one excited baking enthusiast.

While others admitted to being huge fans of the British accent.

One confessed: "I have recently became obsessed with the Great British Bake Off show on Netflix and I cannot stop saying “it’s a bit raw” in a British accent."

Another was having a similar issue: "I've been binge-watching "The Great British Bake Off" on Netflix. I've gone through so many episodes I now speak with an accent and call every dessert a "pudding" lol."

"I'm watching the Great British Bake Off and idk British accents are so quaint and they make me think of terrible rain and teacups and snuggling into your jumper," sighed another.

The current series of GBBO kicked off last week on Channel 4 with 13 new contestants heading to the famous tent.

Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding are back hosting proceedings while Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith return as judges.

(Spoiler Alert….)
