WWE's UFC legend Ronda Rousey willing to return to MMA for blockbuster fight against Gina Carano | The Sun

WWE superstar Ronda Rousey has revealed that she would return to UFC for only one blockbuster fight.

The 35-year-old left Dana White’s promotion after a legendary run in the octagon six years ago following back-to-back defeats to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes.

Rousey, who is a UFC hall of famer, then embarked on her wrestling career before taking time off to become a mother.

She then returned to WWE in January at the Royal Rumble and is currently the SmackDown Women’s Champion after defeating Charlotte Flair.

However, during a recent appearance on The Kurt Angle Show, she admitted that she would compete in MMA again – but only if she could fight Gina Carano.

Rousey (12-2-0) said: “I mean, I’ve said it a million times. It’s not like it’s something new but, for Gina man.

“Gina Carano, she’s the reason why I got into fighting, she’s the reason why I knew it was a possibility.

“I will always be forever grateful… and if she ever was like, ‘Ronda, I wanna fight you tomorrow at 205 pounds,’ like whatever the hell she’d want.”

Rowdy added: “If she wanted to come into my backyard and do the Rocky thing or, you know, ding, ding and we just do it in the backyard, I don’t care.

“I will fight Gina wherever she wants.”

Carano hung up her fighting gloves way back in 2009 with a record of 7-1 after suffering a loss to Cris Cyborg.

She was widely-considered to be the “face of women’s MMA” at a time when UFC did not have women’s matches while competing for the likes of EliteXC and Strikeforce.

Carano, 40, has since ventured into the movie business and had roles in “Fast & Furious 6” and “Deadpool” and later played Cara Dune in Disney+’s hit series “The Mandalorian”

But the star was axed by Lucasfilm in 2021 for sharing controversial posts on Instagram.
