Wilfried Zaha '1000 per cent committed to Crystal Palace', insists Steve Parish

The Ivory Coast star was recently the subject of interest from the Chinese Super League.

Dalian Yifang were prepared to offer the 26-year-old a staggering £11million-a-year, after tax.

But Eagles chief Paris revealed his main man will be staying in South London and has no interest in quitting the Premier League for China.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: "I believe there is some interest in Wilf from China.
“It’s a weird one where arguably the club and Wilf would do incredibly well financially out of it.

“I’m pleased to say that I don’t think Wilf thinks that China is the right destination for his career.

“Personally I would be very disappointed if Wilf at this stage in his career wanted to check out and play in China.

“No disrespect to the Chinese League, but I think there is a lot Wilf can achieve in this country first.

“I read the story in the paper and the agent said there were some phone calls, but you never really know with the Chinese thing as there are a lot of intermediaries involved.”

Despite interest from Chelse and Tottenham, Zaha signed a new five-year deal at Palace in August.

And Parish admitted if the club were going to cash in on the forward, it would have to be the right deal at a time that suits all parties.

He added: "Wilf has been with the club more or less since I bought the club – we have a long history with Wilf, he loves the club and we love him.

“But of course people want do well in their career over time –we have to look at the right circumstances for both Wilf and the club.

“But right now, I know he is 1000 per cent committed to Crystal Palace football club, he doesn’t think about anything else, he’s not interested in going to China, he wants to help us get up the table."
