JAMES MILNER was left lost for words after Love Island star Jordan Hames said "boring Milner" on the show.

The Liverpool ace was watching the popular dating show with team-mate Jordan Henderson when his infamous nickname was mentioned.

Milner and Co are in New York ahead of their final pre-season friendly against Sporting on Thursday.

The 33-year-old laid on a treatment table alongside Henderson as the pair caught up with the latest action from the villa.

But Milner did not expect one of the TV stars to mention his parody Twitter account during a chat with a fellow Islander.

During a conversation with Anna Vakilli, Jordan said: "Boring Milner."

Henderson caught Milner's reaction to the name-drop and uploaded a clip of his reaction to his Instagram story.

The former Manchester City star gazed at the camera in disbelief before he burst out laughing.

Alongside a number of laughing emojis, Henderson wrote: "Listen carefully!!!!"

After the video did the rounds on social media, one fan said: "What a bloke."

While another added: "This is absolute brilliant."

Another claimed: "No one can tell me anything about watching Love Island if James Milner watches it too."

Milner's sensible and professional approach to football – both on and off the pitch – has led some fans to label him as boring.

But the 33-year-old embraced his nickname by sharing a hilarious photo to social media last year.

And he posted a picture of himself measuring Easter Eggs in an attempt to mimic the "Boring James Milner" Twitter account – which has over 650,000 followers.
