Watch hilarious moment Red Bull boss Christian Horner throws Sky Sports reporter into pool during Monaco GP celebrations

CHRISTIAN HORNER pushed a reporter into a swimming pool during Red Bull's raucous Monaco Grand Prix celebrations.

Sergio Perez clinched Red Bull's fifth victory of the 2022 season with a stunning drive in the Principality.

The Spaniard's first victory of the campaign, understandably, left Red Bull's staff jumping for joy.

And excited team principal Horner decided some hijinks were in order – cutting short his interview with Sky Sports' Craig Slater by shoving him into a pool.

An unsuspecting Slater was given the push as he said: "It's a wonderful scene here and it's wonderful too."

Slater remained cool, calm and collected and even continued to question Horner after hopping out of the pool.

He said: "Today was about going from drys to wets. How dare you?"

Horner replied: "To win in Monaco is always very special. And to get this race, it's our sixth Monaco victory.

"With Checo [Perez], unbelievable day. And hopefully, as I say, commonsense will prevail on Max [Verstappen] and well done for being a good sport."

A soaking Slater vowed: "Christian Horner, I'll get him back one day – one day."

After the race, Perez, 32, seemingly hinted that he'd inked a new deal with Red Bull, saying: "I signed too early."

Horner was quick to hail the Mexican for his drive, saying: “He just needs to keep doing what he's doing. He's doing a great job, we're very happy with him.

“He's driven extremely well, so far this year. The delta between him and Max is, as you know, diminished significantly, compared to last season.

"I think he's happier in the car. He's achieved that fantastic pole position already in Jeddah this year.

"He's driven some great races. And is a team player. I don't think there's anybody better in the pit lane.

“So, he's doing a great job, he needs to keep doing what he's doing and then talks should hopefully be reasonably straightforward.”

The F1 season will resume a fortnight on Sunday with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.
