The WWE move, once famously used by ex-UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 19 against Kurt Angle, is not often performed in the cage.


However, in round one of Pereira’s openweight bout against Kim, the Brazilian ran up against the cage and moonsaulted on to his opponent.

Though courageous, Pereira missed with his attack – but then followed up with a flying front kick to the face.

Kim would go on to be defeated in the second round after being backed up to the cage with punches and kicks to the body.

Pereira then forced the stoppage after landing two knees in the clinch – with the referee waving off the bout.


UFC veteran Anthony Pettis made a name for himself with his “Showtime Kick” which he used against Benson Henderson at WEC 53 in 2010.

Pettis ran up against the cage and kicked Henderson, with the move later being cemented in MMA folklore.

Last year UFC bantamweight Yair Rodriguez scored one of the greatest KO’s in the sport when he landed a backward upward elbow with 4:59 on the clock in the fifth round.

Rodriguez KO’d Chan Sung Jung with just ONE second to go in November last year – in what is considered the greatest finish in UFC history.
