UFC legend Jon Jones reveals switch to WWE is ‘inevitable’ and would be ‘dream come true’ – The Sun

UFC KING Jon Jones admits it would be a “dream come true” to join WWE and says a career switch is “inevitable”.

Light heavyweight champ “Bones” was taken the distance but controversially prevailed as all three judges scored his UFC 247 fight against Dominick Reyes in his favour on Sunday.

Jones’ victory added another stunning record to his long-list of accolades as he now holds the most wins in UFC light heavyweight history, most wins in UFC title fight history, and most consecutive UFC light heavyweight wins.

The 32-year-old is seemingly running out of opponents to fight in the Octagon – and he has revealed the thought of following fellow UFC legends Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey and Cain Velasquez is a tempting one.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, he said: “I think it’s inevitable.

“I’ve always respected WWE, and I feel like the sports can be so similar.

“I have the size and athleticism and the following to transition over really well.

“To get the opportunity to just show up, even as a special guest, would be a dream come true.”

Before a potential switch to the squared-circle, Jones seems much more likely to face Reyes again in a title rematch.

UFC president White admitted afterwards he had Reyes winning 3-1 going into the fifth and feels “The Devastator” deserves another shot at the belt.
