UFC legend Cormier hints at crossover clash with rival Brock Lesnar in WWE

UFC star Daniel Cormier is so desperate to fight Brock Lesnar he is even prepared to sign up to the WWE.

The US fighter is adamant that he wants to face "The Beast" as soon as possible in the octagon, but with Lesnar signed to the WWE negotiations aren't the easiest.

However Cormier, who is the UFC  heavyweight champ, thinks he knows a way of getting to Lesnar – and it could come at WrestleMania.

Speaking to the UFC Nashville broadcast, Cormier said: “I don’t have a fight exactly scheduled yet, but I got my eyes on Brock Lesnar.

“I may go to the WWE WrestleMania, and I may go cost him his title over there so he can hurry up and get to the UFC so I can beat him here.”

UFC president Dana White is very keen on the idea of a Cormier versus Lesnar showdown.

He told UFC reporter Megan Olivi: “Brock Lesnar is doing his thing with WWE.

"One of the things about Brock Lesnar is, when that guy is ready to fight, he is not shy. He will call me and let me know.

“And to be honest with you, I am hoping to hear from that guy this summer."

Cormier won his UFC heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic stopping him in the first round in July last year.

He then defended the title against Derrick Lewis in October.
