Tom Brady breaks Peyton Manning’s NFL record for TD passes in regular season, playoffs

Add another line to Tom Brady's impeccable list of accomplishments.

The New England Patriots quarterback on Sunday broke Peyton Manning's record for most touchdown passes in the regular season and playoffs combined with his 580th scoring strike on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

Brady achieved the feat on a 2-yard connection to Julian Edelman in the second quarter.

Brady also moved into sole possession of third place for the most regular-season touchdown passes. He entered the day 31 back of Manning's mark and 10 behind New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

Two weeks ago against the New York Jets, Brady broke Manning's record for the most career yards (79,279) through both the regular season and playoffs. Brees eclipsed Manning for the regular-season career yardage mark in October and entered Sunday more than 4,000 ahead of Brady with 73,707 total.
