The Undertaker set to make WWE return for WrestleMania 36 and face AJ Styles in dream match – The Sun

THE UNDERTAKER is reportedly set to make his WWE return at WrestleMania 36 in a dream match against AJ Styles.

The Deadman last competed at the Showcase of the Immortals in an impromptu squash match against John Cena two years ago.

Taker, real name Mark Calaway, has become synonymous with the event, with his absence last year marking only the third time he had missed 'Mania since it's seventh iteration in 1991.

His victory over Jimmy Snuka marked the beginning of his 21 undefeated streak at the pay-per-view that was eventually ended by Brock Lesnar in 2013.

The 54-year-old has since reduced his role in WWE to a part-time basis, last seen on TV chokeslamming Sami Zayn on SmackDown in September.

That came after a disastrous match against Goldberg at Super ShowDown in June that resulted in his opponent suffering a concussion.

However, WrestleZone claim that the Demon of Death Valley could be back in action at the Show of Shows this year to face AJ Styles.

I don't know if he's retired, but that would be a regret that I may not ever have the opportunity to get in the ring with him

The prospect of Taker facing off against the Phenomenal One in never before seen clash in Tampa, Florida on April 5 is set to delight fans.

Styles is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury he sustained in the Royal Rumble last month from the returning Hall of Fame star Edge.

Yet the 42-year-old is renowned for being one of the best workers in the business who can carry matches on his own and is scheduled to be back by the Super ShowDown on February 27th in Saudi Arabia

Styles also revealed last year that a match with Taker at WrestleMania remained on his bucket list and said it would be a regret if it never happened.

He told the Mirror: "I would love to be able to learn from someone like that.

"I don't know if he's retired, I don't know what's going on, but that would be a regret that I may not ever have the opportunity to get in the ring with him."
