‘That’s my first love’: ‘Bachelor’ Peter Weber dishes on return to flying for Delta

New “Bachelor” Peter Weber’s season doesn’t take off until Jan. 6 (8 EST/PST) – but the Delta Air Lines pilot has already returned to work at the airline now that filming has wrapped.

Weber tells USA TODAY he piloted his first flight a week after he reported back to work. “That’s my passion,” Weber says of flying. “That’s my first love.” The 28-year-old California native, who flies 737s as a first officer, plans on being a pilot until he hits the FAA-mandated retirement age of 65.

Weber says his co-workers have been supportive, and he has received love from passengers, flight attendants and pilots alike. USA TODAY was unable to reach Delta representatives for comment.

Speaking of flight attendants, there are several among this season’s crop of contestants.  Has Weber ever dated a flight attendant before becoming part of Bachelor Nation? He says he did a long time ago, but it wasn’t serious.

Time will tell if one of these flight attendants can take their relationship with Weber to new heights.
