Real Madrid 'will choose between blockbuster transfer for Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe' to rebuild team | The Sun
REAL MADRID are reportedly set to choose whether to launch a blockbuster move for Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland to rebuild their team.
Los Blancos have been linked with both superstars during the past but have so far failed to land either man.
They thought that French World Cup-winning forward Mbappe, 24, was heading to the Bernabeu last summer until he famously snubbed them to pen a new mega-contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
However, L’Equipe claims that his deal with PSG will end in June 2024 and he is unlikely to trigger the option of a 12-month extension.
And the possibility of signing him on a free transfer as a replacement for veteran Karim Benzema should entice them to make a renewed effort to land him.
But the French outlet also claims that Madrid are keeping tabs on Manchester City goal machine Haaland too.

Benzema, 35, is expected to pen a new one-year contract with Madrid over the coming weeks.
But this report states that he will be allowed to leave at the end of the 2023/24 season to pave the way for a new superstar signing.
