'Put hands on you once and will do it again' – Dillian Whyte open to Joseph Parker rematch after Tyson Fury defeat

DILLIAN WHYTE is open to a rematch against Joseph Parker, warning the Kiwi ace: “I’ll put hands on you again.”

Whyte, 34, won his first clash against Parker, 30, on points in July 2018.

And the duo could now collide for a second time following Whyte’s defeat to Tyson Fury.

The British star was unable to get the better of Fury at Wembley Stadium last month.

And Whyte will not get a rematch for the WBC heavyweight title following Fury’s claims of retirement.

He had been tipped to face former champion Deontay Wilder.

But Parker has emerged as a potential fight, with the New Zealander’s manager insisting he is eager to avenge his defeat from almost four years ago.

And Whyte appears as keen to settle their feud once and for all.

He wrote on social media: “I just want the biggest fights at this stage in my career.

“Let’s go. [I] put hands on you once and will do it again.”

Whyte’s war cry comes after Parker’s manager David Higgins revealed his fighter will not rest until he gets a second shot in the ring.

That’s after Parker’s upcoming bout against Joe Joyce was pushed back indefinitely.

Higgins said: "Joseph Parker is keeping in wonderful shape at home in New Zealand, with his family.

"There are still ongoing discussions about his next fight move. The Joe Joyce fight is still a live discussion, it's not contracted.

"There's talk of it for later September and then there's always options.

"Joseph was showing me videos of the Dillian fight this very morning and Joseph has wanted a rematch ever since.

"We've made it clear at all times we'd fight Dillian Whyte then, or now.

There's no better time for a rematch

"That stands now, because Joseph would love to fight Dillian Whyte. That would be a blockbuster pay-per-view.

"It was a war. It was the heavyweight fight of the year.

"It's really up to the Whyte camp I think, to signal if they are willing to have that rematch.

"There's no better time for a rematch between Joseph Parker and Dillian Whyte.

"Joseph Parker is an elite heavyweight and he's got unfinished business with Dillian Whyte, so to stop Dillian Whyte on worldwide TV would be a nice step back towards the heavyweight world title, which is every heavyweight’s goal.

"I already know that Joseph would gladly jump back in with Dillian Whyte. Anytime, anywhere. The real question is – 'is Dillian Whyte up for it?', because we've got no time to dither.

"There are other options on the table. The Joe Joyce fight would also be a cracker.
