  • New York and San Antonio split their meetings last year with both teams winning comfortably on their home court.
  • San Antonio topped 100 points in each of last year’s two meetings.
  • The Knicks went 1-3 in preseason action while the Spurs went 2-3. The Spurs were outscored 112 to 104.8 on average. The Knicks were outscored 107.8 to 103.8.
  • The Spurs surprised some a little by going 48-34 and making the playoffs as the seventh seed in the Western Conference. They outscored their opponents 111.7 to 110 and played a slightly elevated pace when compared to previous seasons.
  • The Spurs extended PG Dejounte Murray to a four-year deal following his ACL surgery last season. In five games this pre-season, Murray averaged nearly 10 points and six assists per game for San Antonio.

Moneyline : This is a moneyline to avoid as San Antonio is a ridiculous -556. A $10 bet pays a profit of less than $2. Don’t bother with the Knicks at +400.

Line : Get much better value on the SPURS by taking the -106 odds for them to cover a big spread of -10.5 and win by 11 or more points. San Antonio won the home matchup by 26 points last season and New York has not improved much at all.

Over/Under : Only one of last year’s two meetings topped Wednesday’s projected total of 214.5. Take the UNDER in the series opener with -115 odds.
