Napoli starlet Gianluca Gaetano’s gran dies as she celebrates his first-team debut

NAPOLI starlet Gianluca Gaetano's grandmother died as she celebrated him making his Serie A debut with a fireworks display.
The midfielder, 19, came off the bench against SPAL over the weekend to make his league bow.

Ti voglio bene nonna, riposa in pace ,sarai sempre con me .. Nel mio cuore ❤️

His family let off fireworks in the street to mark the occasion and Gaetano's nan Carmela got into an argument with her neighbours over the noise.
The police were called and Carmela tragically suffered a fatal heart attack.
Gaetano posted an emotional tribute on Instagram, which read: "I remember when you had to give me syringes to treat me, I was afraid, but with your sweetness with your steady hand you reassured me, you made me feel comfortable.
"I remember that when I was a little late I was waiting for you outside on the balcony and you said to me, 'You are the "Last to return". I said no, but you didn't go to sleep, you waited for my brothers and your son to make sure that everyone came back that everyone was asleep.
"You saw me making the debut but I couldn't see you for the last time, I thank you for everything about all the beautiful things done together, for the Christmas dinners and all of the birthdays.
"Mamma mia, grandmother, what pizza you made in the oven, how to bake macaroni, sprinkle pasta with pesto and tomato, buy pesto with mushrooms, my goodness. You will stay with me, you will remain in my heart.
"Now I can't knock you in the evening when I'm a little late, I'll have to get the keys because I had you waiting for me.
"I remember that every Monday I stayed with you because Mum and Dad went out, I was afraid of being alone down in the dark and you made me come up making me stand up to you, in the comfortable armchair and you put yourself on the uncomfortable chair but you didn't care.
"You wanted me to be well, you wanted me to be comfortable to rest. What do the others know? That NONNA IS SPECIAL.
"Thanks for all these years, I'm sorry I didn't see you for the last time and couldn't hug you hard.
"I love you grandma, rest in peace, you will always be with me in my heart."
Gaetano and his team did at least have something to celebrate on Sunday thanks to Mario Rui's 88th minute winner helping them to a 2-1 win.
