They’ve now lost four of their last five Premier League games and sit 15th in the league.

The Gunners are already 10 points behind the Champions League places and 12 behind league leaders Tottenham.

And Ladbrokes have priced Pochettino as a 16/1 shot to replace the struggling Arteta.

They’ve also made Arteta 3/1 to be sacked by Christmas and 8/11 to leave before the end of the season.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Pochettino is no stranger to North London and there's an outside chance he makes the most controversial managerial move in Premier League history.

"It looks like it could soon be curtains for Arteta, with Arsenal struggling to get going this season he seems almost certain to pay the price."

Pochettino left Tottenham just over a year ago and is yet to take another job.

He’s been heavily linked with Manchester United with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also under pressure.

But Arteta is the most vulnerable boss at the moment is the favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked.

Asked where the result on Sunday leaves his side, Arteta said:  "In a worse position.

"When you have this type of performance you have to win matches, you have to win as simple as that. It puts us in a difficult position and we have to try again on Wednesday.

"I am clear in my mind what needs to improve. I don't know how to put the ball into the net."
