    Fantastic Ferguson

Ferguson remains the star man for Brighton at the moment following his hat-trick against Newcastle, although he is not guaranteed to start due to a knock.

Kaoru Mitoma has also impressed for the Seagulls so far this season, as has Pervis Estupiñán.

    Rasmus to the rescue

Manchester United new boy Rasmus Hojlund put on a promising debut performance against Arsenal.

The powerful striker caused a number of problems for defenders Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba when he was introduced in the second half.

Welcome to Manchester United vs Brighton

Manchester United battle Brighton at Old Trafford in what is expected to be the match of the day – and the Red Devils will be desperate to bounce back from their Arsenal defeat.

Alejandro Garnacho had the ball in the net in the 88th-minute only for VAR to cancel out the goal before the Gunners scored twice in injury time to seal the 3-1 win.

But the Red Devils now take on in-form Brighton, who will be buoyed by their 3-1 victory over Newcastle which saw teenage sensation Evan Ferguson score a hat-trick.

The Seagulls sit sixth place in the Premier League with nine points from their first four games, with the home defeat by West Ham their only blot so far.

Meanwhile, United have had more off-field issues to contend with.

Manager Erik ten Hag has been embroiled in a public spat with Jadon Sancho since the club's defeat to Arsenal.

And Antony is currently absent from the squad as he faces allegations of domestic abuse from three women, although he has vowed to clear his name.

The Red Devils will need a win against high-flying Brighton otherwise they risk slipping further down the table.
