Man Utd star Brandon Williams ‘targeted by Brighton in shock £15m transfer as replacement for City-bound Marc Cucurella’ | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED left-back Brandon Williams is being targeted by Brighton, according to reports.

The Mirror claim that it could take a £15million bid to sign the 21-year-old.

Williams is seen by the Seagulls as a replacement for Marc Cucurella, who is attracting interest from Manchester City.

The Man Utd academy graduate spent last season out on loan at Norwich.

He played 29 times for the Canaries as they slumped to relegation.

Williams, who has featured 50 times for the United, now finds his first-team chances blocked as a result of the signing of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord.

With the Dutchman, Luke Shaw and Alex Telles all above him in the pecking order a transfer away from Old Trafford could be needed.

If Williams does not sign for Brighton, the Seagulls could turn their attention to Arsenal ace Nuno Tavares, according to reports.

Meanwhile, speculation suggests that Pep Guardiola has scouted Cucurella on a number of occasions and he believes the player's attack-minded style of play will suit Man City perfectly.

Brighton are open to letting the 24-year-old leave providing they receive an offer they deem good enough.
